Quick on the draw, Griffin has already announced a series of very professional looking accessories for the iPad. These accessories are not released yet, and no official pricing has been made public, but we are sure that they will be of the same high quality that Griffin always puts out with it’s products. We have always been big fans of Griffins accessories, since they are smartly priced, well designed, high quality, and generally very attractive. Calling their lineup “essentials for the newest Apple creation” they have released a flip folio, slipcover, flexible ipad covers, a neoprene sleeve, and a screen care kit. Here’s a preview of each:
This case is stylish and sexy. We are big fans of flip cases, and the Elan Passport pulls it off with style. Suited for any corporate meeting or trendy travelers carryon, this folio covers the iPad completely and looks very slick. The inside is lined with a monosuede lining to protect the display from smudges and scratches. It has a tab closure to secure the iPad folio closed. This is a feature which we are very excited about since velcro and other methods of keeping a flip case closed tend to wear out rather quickly and render the case useless. When open, the inner cover includes pockets for business cards for some added utility. Also, the iPad is held in place securely but without hindering any of the screen, another point for this flip cover.
The Elan Passport manages to look both rugged and professional at the same time, and we have to say we are a fan Griffin!
A paired down version of the Passport, this is a slip cover case for the iPad with a microsuede interior and a sexy synthetic exterior. It also features our favorite tab closure which both secures your iPad in place when stored, and helps you to slip it out when you need access. If you want a professional looking and high quality iPad sleeve that would fit in at a business meeting then the Griffin Elan Sleeve looks like a safe bet!
The FlexGrip is a silicone case for you for your iPad tablet that comes in 4 different colors. It’s a tough silicone cover that will protect your tablet from scratches, dirt, and dings while giving it plenty of grip. Wrapping around the iPad snuggly and securely it still allows total access to the display, jacks, and connectors. Paired with a Zagg iPad screen protector or Griffin’s own this option offers a more colorful version of Griffin’s other iPad cases.
Griffin’s neoprene Jumper iPad sleeve is a soft and stretchy protection that completely encloses your Apple tablet in soft squishy security. It has the pull tab for securing the top flap down so that your iPad is protected from dust, dirt, and foreign object invasion. It looks like a good option if you are want to keep your iPad fully enclosed in its own Neoprene wetsuit.
This kit comes with a non abrasive “premium” cleaning cloth to remove dust and fingerprints from your screen without scratching it. It also comes with an iPad screen protector that is static peel and has a low glare matte finish to minimize fingerprints and keep potentially damaging dust and grit away from the screen. Not quite as cool as the other iPad cases… but how cool can you make a screen protector for the iPad anyway?
As we have said, we’re fans of Griffin’s accessories, and though this is just a preview, we’re sure they will live up to their companies reputation of producing high quality products for Apple’s new iPad.
