If that weren’t already enough, now they have released the Saddleback iPad Case and let us tell you, it’s droolworthy! When we got it in the mail, it was all we could do to tear off the packaging and be wowed by this new super rugged leather iPad case. Check out our full review below! First Impressions
The first thing we said when we got this case was “Whoa! Now that’s a rugged iPad case!” Looking more like a leather journal than your traditional iPad cover with two leather straps that secure it closed on the back, this case, like all their products, begs to be used and abused. It’s a hefty hunk of animal flesh with full grain leather, the thickest and best quality you will likely ever see. The front is sexy and blank, with just the Saddleback logo branded in the corner, and the back looks awesome with the straps holding it closed. This is a case that will age with you over time and develop it’s own unique character and look. It’s one of a kind, it’s made of the highest possible quality materials, and it will probably outlast your iPad and maybe even you!
Saddleback iPad Case Overview
Made from 100% thick full grain boot leather and lined with pigskin lining which is among the strongest leathers in the world. This leather will age gracefully and develop it’s own character based on how you use it. Over time and with a few months of use, this case will become distinctly yours and unlike any other. The thread is the same industrial heavy gauge marine grade thread that they use in all their products which is made to withstand tons of abuse. There are no breakable parts and the case is designed to withstand some significant impacts. We feel very safe with our iPad in this baby.
The case provides access to all the ports and important buttons (although the home button is hidden behind a thin layer of leather, though it’s still easily pressed. Also Saddleback’s iPad case allows the iPad to be charged while closed (a very important feature). It securely closes with two straps that fit through four tight leather rings on the back. Those same straps can be used to turn the case into a stand for viewing movies or typing.
Our Final Verdict
If we didn’t already have an iPad… we’d feel uncontrollably compelled to get one now. We tender our genuine apologies to those of you who are reading this and do not already have an iPad… to be fair- you were warned. We are HUGE fans of Saddleback and this is one truly amazing and rugged iPad case. It will take a heavy beating and keep your Apple tablet safe. Also, this case will most certainly outlast your iPad, and if it does not it’s backed by Saddleback’s legendary 100 year warranty! It will certainly draw a lot of envious looks wherever you take it, and it continues to blow people away when we show it to them. Take this case for a spin, break it in, it will become your favorite travel buddy in no time at all. Love the rugged look, Video was great,i’m sold. I support a leather store’s Network Zackwhite.com They actually sell leather hides etc. Love to know the cost and if available.
I have an Saddleback XL briefcase that I have been carrying to the courthouse and meetings for over 2 years. The Saddleback craftsmanship is second to none. I have never had so many compliments and envious looks.
The case looks really large and bulky, but i can see the tradeoff between that and added protection.

After you have saddle Bak iPad case you want be able to switch back to any other leather cases.
