In the hurry to produce iPad accessories, one of the biggest things overlooked by designers is the one thing that they should really be focusing on: the customer. What do the customers want? What features would they like to see in an iPad accessory? Do they want another neoprene sleeve that has a zipper, or do they want something a little more functional? The iPad is a lot of different devices wrapped into one. Your iPad case should be nothing less. Introducing the crowd sourced and customer influenced Quirky Cloak iPad Case…

Quirky is a unique company built on a clever concept by a 23 year old jerk named Ben. He’s a jerk because he’s already far more successful than most of us will ever be, at an age when most of us aren’t thinking any further than the next party we’ll crash. Give them a product idea, let it face the jury, and if it passes they will do the heavy lifting and put it into production and share the profits with you.
In the case of the Quirky Cloak iPad Stand and Case, the crowd has spoken, and it is so. This accessory is equal parts iPad Case, iPad stand, and iPad folio. It is constructed from non slip rubber folds over on hinges to totally protect your iPad tablet in the style of a folio case. The case also is an iPad stand that works in both portrait and landscape positions. It’s available in 4 different colors: Pink, Blue, Green, and Black. The iPad Cloak is available right now for presale at $36.00 and a regular price of $42.00.
We’d love to see more people crowd sourcing their products to put some real functionality into them!
I think quirky needs to focus a little less on marketing and more on engineering. I have cancelled my quirky cloak order after numerous delays. It is not scheduled to launch until mid July now. Quirky has shown me nothing to convince me that this won’t be the final delay. Order cancelled.
Agree with RJ. Also cancelled my order due to several delays.
