Winners chosen! Congrats Kristin, Josh, Susan, and Judy! If you haven’t already, it’s time to experience what Cult Of Mac calls “The Rolls Royce of iPad Cases.” Our regular readers already know that we are big fans of Pad and Quill. They combine old world book binding techniques with new world gadgets like the iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Air. The result is nothing short of spectacular. And while there are other companies out there (who shall not be named) that make a similar product, P&Q consistently separates themselves from the pack with innovation, quality, and craftsmanship. This is especially true with the latest updated versions of the Contega and Octavo cases for the iPad 3. Check out what exciting upgrades these new versions are featuring!
Pad & Quill is a very special company run by very special people. Born in the heart of a recession by two like minded individuals forged a new path on their own from scratch. Combining the beauty and tradition of old world bookbinding with sexy new age technology, they have managed to carve out a niche for themselves in a fiercely competitive industry. Their products are top notch, the quality and craftsmanship is second to none, and they’re so darn likeable you can’t help but root for them! When you buy a P&Q case, you are getting a hand-crafted piece of art made in the U.S. of A. by honest good people. Oh… and you are getting a pretty awesome iPad case as well!

If you’ve got the scratch, we fully recommend you take a look at our Octavo Luxury iPad 3 Case review. That luxurious case is one of the few examples of something being even more amazing in person than on paper. However, if you don’t have that kind of dough laying around the standard Octavo Case for iPad 3 doesn’t disappoint in the least. This case has been updated and polished from it’s last version (which was already awesome) to be a true thing of beauty.
In the style of Moleskine’s black notebooks this case is covered in Spanish bonded leather and lined with traditional bindery cloth that exudes a warm supple glow just begging you to touch it. The frame is a sturdy 8 layers of Baltic Birch which form the pages of the Octavo. The frame has been updated and is now stronger than ever. The wood is sanded and finished with a rich lacquer that seals it and leaves a beautifully deep furniture finish. The iPad is held in place with new injection molded Sure-Lock bumpers that hold the iPad securely and enhance it’s shock protection. The magnetic on/off feature has been enhanced and improved as well to work with the iPad 3. All of this is secured shut with the classic Moleskine black elastic band. To seal the deal and complete the illusion of a real notebook, there is a classic PQ ‘bookmark’ which also helps with removing your tablet from the case.
The Octavo iPad 3 Case comes in 5 different interior colors and has an optional Internal Pocket feature as well. You get all this for just $69.99! Oh, and don’t forget that you can get free shipping if you buy any additional item from the Pad and Quill site with your order! Check out the Octavo Case for iPad 3 here!
Here is yet another instance of P&Q innovating and showing off their ingenuity. The Contega Case for iPad 3 is the only self-propping bookbound iPad case on the market. Not only does it have all the great features that the Octavo case has (spanish leather exterior, baltic birch interior, sure-loc bumpers, magnetic on/off feature, and moleskine styling), it also turns into a stand that works in multiple viewing angles.
This case protects your iPad from drops, looks awesome, and works as a built in iPad stand. But that’s not all! This case is even a theft deterrent since it looks so much like a paper journal complete with bookmark and everything. There have been multiple instances of people having their things stolen and the thief didn’t steal their iPad because it was protected in the Contega case. There is even a secret pocket feature for you to hide a few important documents and papers! With 5 different interior cloth color options, this case has so much going for it you’d have to be crazy not to at least check it out! Be sure you don’t forget that you can get free shipping if you buy any additional item from the Pad and Quill site with your order! Score your very own Contega iPad 3 Case here!
The fact that Contega cases are Quality products with hand made attention to detail draws me to them like a magnet. Aboard Serenity, our classic, cutter rigged sailboat, the case would both protect and enhance the iPad which is used as much as a navigation tool as a source of information and entertainment.
The very clean looks and the locking tabs are just so very attractive in this case.
This MoleSkin like case looks so professional. I want one very bad. I almost bought one for my iPad 1 and my iPad 2. Now with my pad 3 winning would be great.
Thanks
The Pad and Quill’s Contega case looks very well built and high quality. By having the case will distinct my iPad from others. Hope I can win the case!
I am a professional woman in the Health Care Insurance Industry and
this case would really look great when I attend meetings and
conferences. Thanks for your review of such an awesome case and
please consider me in the selection of this giveaway.
Susan
I hope I do not win this case.. I would never be able to put down my iPad with its sexy leather, smart design, and multi-functionality.
Not to mention having a pocket to store a couple of papers or some business cards. The ability to use multiple viewing angles is also very attractive as I often switch between horizontal for movies / games, and horizontal when reading or browsing.
Elegant, sharp, classic. Like me.

I’ll buy a pair of shoes to match and be the best-dressed woman in town.
