Get 10% off all Pad and Quill cases this weekend only with the coupon code: “IPDA12“!!! It seems like the announcements just don’t stop coming from one of our new favorite iPad case companies- Pad & Quill. First came the Octavo, then the Little Black Book, and now… they have just announced the Contega. Our friends at P&Q were so kind as to send us a prototype for some hands on reviewing, and we are impressed! Their site calls it a ‘Norske inspired rugged case of ingenious practicality.’ We call it just plain great! This new Contega case for iPad 2 is very exciting and packed with exclusive features like a hidden pocket, an A-Frame iPad stand, sound amplifiers, the same awesome Moleskine styling we know and love, and more! Check out our exclusive review inside!
As we have stated again and again, we are huge fans of anything resembling a Moleskine notebook. Pad&Quill are at the top of our very short list when it comes to Moleskine inspired iPad cases. All Pad&Quill cases are of course made by hand in Minnesota. My father’s home state, and home of the Vikings. According to the Pad & Quill site, this new case was inspired and credited to their Norske heritage. Now, that could either be a reference to the A-Frame styled stand this new case features, or it could also refer to the one of greatest football teams in history (slight bias implied…). Either way, we love this new iPad 2 case.
The bookbindery iPad case market is a fierce market these days, and Pad&Quill have been proving time and again why they are the best. The Contega is the first of it’s kind in that it features the new multi-positional stand and secret pocket. This case does more than just protect your iPad with it’s rugged design, it also amplifies the sound, conceals your iPad from theft, acts as a convenient stand, and now it even holds your important documents in it’s secret pocket in true Moleskine fashion! The Contega also has an improved wooden frame to better hold the iPad.
Constructed from the same great Bonded Italian leather and tough bindery cloth as the Octavo, and featuring the magnetic on/off smart cover feature, elastic band closure, and camera access… this new addition to the P&Q bookshelf is a very welcome one! The Contega is a bit thicker than the original Octavo case, but if you don’t mind the additional 1/8” or so, then you are going to love this case!
The Contega is currently available on pre-order for $79.99. It will be available in three classic colors. Pick it up fast because the price will increase to $89.99 on the 23rd of June when they begin shipping!
