What is the first thing we want to do when we buy a new shiny toy? Drop them in the toilet! Ok… that’s may only happen if you have a grabby 5 year old, or perhaps if you enjoy doing your ebook reading while sending a fax to Brownsville… if you know what I mean… If you often find yourself in soggy situations, (pun intended) then you may be interested in purchasing a waterproof iPad case. You can never be too careful when it comes to your electronic devices. Check below for our reviews of the best waterproof cases for the iPad…

At this point in time, there is one waterproof case that has already been released, and there are two more on the way. TrendyDigital Waterproof WaterGaurd iPad Case

The first case is the Waterproof WaterGuard that has been released by TrendyDigital. This case will protect your iPad with a plastic that is UV stabilized. Even though it is an excellent protector, it isn’t the prettiest case you will ever see.

That being said, the case will still give you complete access to all the features of the iPad, including the touch sensitive screen. The sound may be a little muffled, but you will still be able to use the speakers of your iPad when it is inside the enclosure. Even though the case will not be winning any beauty pageants any time soon, it is the best option available for protecting your iPad against extremely wet situations. You can get this case for $19.99 at Trendy Digital.

M Edge Leisure Water Resistant iPad Case

Next there is the Leisure iPad jacket made by M Edge. This case is one of many to be released my M Edge. Thankfully, this waterproof case is a little better looking than other waterproof cases. The back of the case is made out of ripstop nylon, while the front is constructed with clear vinyl. The case will enclose your iPad with a double zipper, protecting it from any force of nature with style. The inside of the case has been designed with high-density foam to protect the iPad from any shocks or bumps that could cause damage. There has been no price announced for this case quite yet, but whatever the price is, you will be buying a case that protects, and looks good doing it.

Otterbox iPad Case

Lastly, we have the iPad cases that will soon be released by OtterBox.com. Otterbox is a very trusted company when it comes to protecting handheld devices. They have proved this by countless iPod cases. If the soon to be released iPad cases are anything like their previously released cases, then you can be sure that they will be of the best quality, and they will likely be waterproof. There have been two iPad case series that have been announced so far by Otterbox, the heavy duty Defender, and the Commuter. There has been no official information on these cases yet, but keep an eye out for these iPad cases, and they will surely be your best line of defense against the elements.

We’ll keep you updated on new water proof iPad cases as they come out, because whether you are blazing new trails in the Brazilian rain forest, lounging poolside at a tropical resort, or just attempting to step outside while in the Pacific Northwest, you need to make sure your iPad is protected!

You might want to review your review. The last line of the product description for “M-Edge Leisure Jacket for Apple iPad 1″ on their web site says:
” This jacket is not waterproof.”

You should also take a look at the iLoc for the iPad. You can find it at http://www.iLocStore.com. It’s under 3 bucks and protects your iPad from water, sand, snow, dust etc. It’s a great buy for protecting your expensive iPad.
