JaDu Industries has stepped up and released one of the first 3rd party iPad stands on the market called the Skadoosh. So far, the majority of the accessories being announced for the iPad have consisted by and large of cases, covers, sleeves, and bags. Major accessory makers are holding back on producing more expensive accessories until they see how the iPad performs on the market. One of the essential accessories for your iPad is going to be a stand, and the Skadoosh stand for the iPad is a beautiful option.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum and featuring an adjustable angle plastic rocker for optimum viewing, the Skadoosh stand will allow you to use your iPad in landscape or portrait mode at any angle you desire. We really like this option, and it has obvious benefits for optimum viewing pleasure. There is an additional flip out piece to add greater stability when viewing at more extreme angles.
The plastic rocker fits your iPad au natural. However it can be switched out and interchanged for larger ones to accommodate iPads in cases and skins. Reportedly there will even be plastic rockers compatible with the iPhone and HP Slate. There is even a cutout at the bottom for your docking connector to go in, so you can have it plugged in while in the portrait mode. Weighing in at just under a pound, and retailing for somewhere in the range of $60, this isn’t a cheap ipad stand by any means, and perhaps quite overpriced… however it is filling a niche that not many other accessory makers have stepped into just yet. We’ll give a more in depth review once the Skadoosh iPad stand is released.
