Griffin Technology has been making great products for a wide range of gadgets and gizmos since 1992. They’ve recently added the iPad to their products and have really touched all the bases in their line-up. They were also kind enough to offer a %15 off discount code to our readers usable until June 30th (Use CJ110 at checkout). Read on for an overview of Griffin Technology’s solid iPad line-up…
A FrameAnyone who has used an iPad for anything more serious then browsing the web knows that an iPad stand is practically a requirement. Griffin responded by making the versatile A-Frame iPad stand. This stand was already featured on our best iPad stand round up part 2 but it deserves another mention here since it’s a solid product. The A-Frame is built out of aluminum which mates nicely with the aluminum styling of the iPad and also means it’s built to last. It accommodates portrait and landscape orientations and the legs can fold down for a kicked-back view, perfect for gaming or web surfing. With the legs extended the iPad is at a good angle for using a bluetooth keyboard for serious work. Soft silicone lines the aluminum shell and there is access to the iPad’s dock connection. This A-Frame is also compatible with many iPad cases, including Griffin’s other offerings. It retails for $49.99 and can be ordered here
Elan PassportThe Elan Passport is a great leather-like folio case available in either black or ecru (fancy talk for off-white). This great looking iPad case opens to reveal extra pockets and places for IDs and credit cards. The inside is lined with micro suede to protect against scratches and smudges. The 4 small corner straps means that the iPad can be used without having to remove it from the case, which is a nice touch. The whole thing is folds closed and is kept so by a tab. It retails for $49.99 and the order page is here.
Elan SleeveThe Elan Sleeve is Griffin’s take on the popular iPad Sleeve style. iPad Sleeves are best used if you already carry around a backpack, purse, or bag and want to carry your iPad without needed another piece of luggage. The outer shell is made of a synthetic material with a leather-like appearance and texture while the inside is lined with a soft micro suede. The Sleeve closes with a tab to help secure the iPad inside the Sleeve. The Elan iPad Sleeve comes in stylish black and can be had for a cool $49.99 here.
FlexGripNo iPad accessory line-up would be complete without some sort of silicone skin and the FlexGrip is Griffin Technology’s take. It fits snugly around the back and sides of the iPad while still leaving the ports and buttons accessible. It helps to protect against dirt, dust, scratches, and dents and can even protect against small shocks by offering a bit of cushioning. It’s available for $34.99 and comes in 4 colors: black, white, blue and purple.
JumperFinally Griffin offers the Jumper Neoprene Sleeve for the iPad. Neoprene makes a great lightweight case useful for packing the iPad inside your backpack or purse. An integrated pull tab closure system means it won’t wiggle out during transport and covers the entirety for full iPad protection. It’s comes in any color so long as it’s black for $29.99 making this neoprene iPad sleeve a great bargain. You can order it here.
Power Accessories / Car AccessoriesGriffin also makes a whole line-up of various power chargers and plugs. They’ve got every conceivable combination of car and home chargers in all shapes and sizes including one that even gives your car socket back! Check out their whole line-up here.
I would really consider getting the “jumper”. If only it came in black… Great round up!
I feel that Griffin really missed an opportunity on that one!
Thanks for the great round up.
Are you referring to an ALL black version of Jumper, one without white trim? http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/jumper
If so, I’ll pass your request along.
Thanks,
Dave
